Area Information
The 7 km of beautiful, unspoilt Blue Flag beaches of Vera Playa are less than 5 mins drive and the area has many fantastic restaurants, especially seafood and steaks. There is also a Water Park within 5 mins drive and go-karting. Almeria airport is 40 mins drive, Murcia 1 ¾ hrs and Alicante 2 hrs. The famous typically Spanish white village of Mojacar is 10km, which has many fine restaurants and bars. The fishing port of Garrucha is 5 km. which has a marina and many fine restaurants, bars and nightlife. Along the coast you will discover little fishing villages and many fine beaches. This is the area where many of the Spaghetti westerns were filmed and the Hollywood studios are worth a visit. The beautiful city of Granada, and the famous Alhambra palace, is well worth a visit and is only a 2 hour drive.
