About the Resort of Thollon les Memises

This delightful friendly Alpine village largely undiscovered, yet offers so much.

During the winter, Thollon is a family-friendly ski resort, with 50 kilometres of alpine skiing pistes, 16 lifts, a beginners' plateau, 6 kilometres of cross-country skiing pistes, and magnificent snowshoe walks. Numerous activities and events are also organized during the winter season.

In the summer the entire region has such a diversity of places to visit, things to do one is literally spoilt for choice, and Thollon offers visitors hiking trails, mountain biking loops, paragliding, an arts-and-crafts market, and many other activities organized by the tourist office.

This year and next the community is spending almost 10 million Euros upgrading the ski facilities and the mountain restaurant which will certainly be good news to local skiers and property owners. Property prices in this village are great value and will ultimately increase with the on-going improvements.

Just 10 to 15 minutes to the beautiful lakeside floral town of Evian les Bains, of course famous the world over for it spring water. Then we have Lake Leman [Geneva] itself, the largest lake in Europe and a great tourist area.

Geneva City limits are only a 40 minute drive and the two Swiss borders just 20 and 30 minutes away.

Thollon as mentioned, has the added advantage of being only 15 minutes from Lake Leman [Geneva] and the famous Spa town of Evian-les-Bains.
