<B>Fuzeta</b> has two beaches for you to choose from. The first is a small beach on the lagoon in the town itself. This Fuzeta beach is very busy in the morning and late afternoon in August, but calm outside of this. When the tide is up it is great to swim. When the tide is down, you are reduced to paddling and exploring the shore. Families with toddlers will like it as being in the lagoon it is wave free and very safe. Fuzeta's other beach is just across the lagoon on Ilha de Armona. At high tide, you can also swim here on the lagoon side without waves. However, the 'real' Fuzeta beach is the ocean side. Close to the landing pier, Fuzeta beach is packed in highseason. However, the beach extends left and right for miles, so those seeking some more peace and privacy can walk for five, ten, twenty minutes or more and find as much beach to themselves as they like. Walking left, it is about a twenty minute to half an hour walk (depending on how many shells you pick on the way) to the tip of the island, the 'barra de Fuzeta'. This is a dream beach landscape and well worth while for beach connoisseurs.
Located within 10 minutes of both Tavira and Olhao the village is easily accessible, the Airport in Faro is less than 20 minutes drive while the Local Train line will take you anywhere from the Spanish border to Lagos in the west, or link into the National or European Train Network via Faro. While Golf can be found just five minutes away at Colina Verde, 5 other championship courses can be found within 15 minutes drive of the Village
While the Fishing Village is quiet small, all that one would need is here, there are Supermarkets, mini-markets, Pharmacies, medical Center and some of the best value cafe's and restaurants in the Algarve. A wander along the Promenade at anytime of year is pleasant as locals and visitors blend together in harmony. It has often been said that Fuzeta still has the charms of old village life, in fact if you visit local Cafés and restaurants more than once you will find the staff/owners knowing exactly what you want each time. The Community Spirit is second to none and local planning has done much to help keep the area this way with very limited development been allowed over the past decade and more. The Village is becoming more and more popular as time goes by with demand for property having soared and the few available developments having sold out off plan, meaning that any property that does come on the market sells very quickly.
