Lorica is a 87.6kms drive away (60 minutes in summer 90minutes in winter) drive from the international airport of Lamezia Terme, with direct flights to London operated by the low cost airline Ryanair and Thomson; about 45 minutes driving from Cosenza railway station and about 40 minutes from the A3 motorway junction of Rogliano.
Lorica has become a very important winter resort of southern Italy. During the winter season there are ski slopes in the “Valle dell’inferno”, literally “Hell valley”, that are used for the Italian Ski National Cup and some other easier slopes; there are 259 kms of trails in the forest and also Cross country ski trails.
