Great Exuma and the chain of islands and cays that surrounds it, is one of the prettiest in The Bahamas and is well known for its beautiful turquoise waters and clean white sandy beaches. Bone fishing and sailing are the main activities on the island but also it has some of the best diving in the world. A short flight from Nassau (20 mins) or Miami and Fort Lauderdale in Florida just over an hour away you are never far from anywhere. “The Pirates of The Caribbean” and “Thunderball” were filmed here and in the Exuma Cays and many well known actors including Johnny Depp have private residences in the cays which is now designated a protected park. 356 islands make up the Exuma Cays one for every day of the year, where you can relax and enjoy complete privacy

The island which was once a slave territory now boasts, The Sandals resort, many different smaller boutique hotels and 2nd home owners vacation properties. The capital George Town is centred around a lagoon and is the hub of the island with banks, shops, hotel and governement buildings. The island has full modern facilties and a completely laid back way of life. Only 60 miles in length reaching from end to end by one main highway. To the north is the airport and The Sandals resort, Oceania Heights and new Rokker point development and at its very tip is Barreterre which is completely untouched. To the south is Palm Bay resort, Peace and Plenty beach club and George Town, on from there further down the island is February Point, Crab Cay and Little Exuma with the tropic of Cancer beaches which are breathtakingly beautiful. all of these places can be googled for you to see the type of residences that are already on the island.
