Area Information
Dalyan is a small town on the South West coast of Turkey, and was orginally well known in the area as a fishing village. Dalyan is situated along the broad sweet water delta that leads to the famous Iztuzu beach, where the protected Caretta, or loggerhead Turtle lay their eggs during the summer months.During the 80"s Dalyan drew international attention with the help of environmentalist movements who campaigned to get Iztuzu beach protected as the Caretta Caretta was being close to extinction. This campaign was a success and today the whole area of Iztuzu and Dalyan are classified as an environmentally protected area.

It still processes the power to amaze both holiday makers and locals with its endless natura beauty and character, and is known to attract people back time and time again.
