The Location

The once sleepy village of Ovacik and its lively neighbour Hisaronu lie on a high mountain plateau just a few minutes dolmus (bus) ride from Fethiye and Oludeniz beach. Overlooked by the largest of Fethiyes mountains Babadağ (6800ft), literally translated as ‘Daddy Mountain’, the area benefits from a cool breeze that can be refreshing during the long hot summers. Our plots look across to the protected pine forests towards the ghost town of Kaya Koyu and across farmland and olive groves where local villagers graze their goats and keep their chickens.
